Michael Mitchell is a business professional with extensive experience in the area of telecommunications, data management and business automation.
In 1991 he founded TierOne Telecommunications and established one of the first telecommunications resale agencies based on the original divesture of AT&T, in 1984. From 1984 - 1991, Michael worked in enterprise sales at US Telecom, US Sprint and was a regular top producer in sales, making presidents clubs as part of an annual event. After leaving US Sprint Michael established RepCom a resale telecom agency, which became a leading phone services solution provider to manufacture representatives, -- a business model mainly driven by affinity relations with business trade associations, who endorsed RepCom as a premier business partner.
As business landscapes changed heading toward 2001, TierOne was created, and many automation techniques developed, using on site SQL SSRS and using opensource software. TierOne established insidewiringpros.com and became involved in inside wiring, telephone hardware which was critical to generate new revenue to sustain business and service telephone systems and new opportunities within Chicago markets.
When TierOne expanded into mass messaging this included broadcast fax. Based on a very old telecom law; many frivolous lawsuits were filed by attorneys, realizing the loophole could win millions on a business insurance policy, eventually TierOne was forced to dissolve based on these lawsuits not going away.
Overall experience of setting up the business and managing is instrumental to other business ventures, including today's business climate.
